Black Cat Standard Rat Snap Traps - Powerful, Humane Kill - 2 Pack

This Multipack contains 2 x Black Cat Standard Rat Snap Traps.

Control rats humanely and effectively with this extra-powerful, professional-grade snap trap.

The Black Cat Standard Rat Trap is a large, heavy-duty solution designed to deliver swift and humane kills for even the most persistent rat infestations. As the larger sibling of the Black Cat Nano Rat Trap, it features a powerful break-back mechanism and ultra-sensitive trigger that ensures high capture rates with minimal suffering.

Engineered for repeated use in tough environments, this reusable trap is suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings — from domestic properties to warehouses and commercial premises. With no poisons or chemicals required, it's the perfect choice for pest control professionals and homeowners seeking safe, poison-free rodent control.

Please Note:

If this trap is not handled properly, users may suffer serious harm. Always read the instructions carefully before use and handle the trap with caution.

Non-target animals must be kept away from the trap at all times. Due to its powerful mechanism and size, this trap is best suited for enclosed areas such as eaves cupboards, lofts, or under flooring.

Traps should be checked daily. Any caught animals must be released immediately and responsibly.

Warning: This trap must not be handled by children. Always store safely when not in use, and ensure children, pets and animals are not present when it is armed.

1. With the trap unset, place your desired bait into the bait well. We recommend PestBuddy Rodent Attractant Gel, but peanut butter also works well.

2. Place the trap perpendicular to the wall, fence or other solid surface where you’ve noticed activity, with the trigger end facing it. Due to the power of this trap, it must be kept away from children and pets at all times. Always place in an enclosed or inaccessible location such as under kitchen units, an eaves cupboard or flooring.

3. Grip the trap firmly from the rear, away from the trigger plate. Pull back the kill bar until it locks into place with an audible click. Take extra care — this is a powerful spring-loaded trap.

4. Check the trap daily. Dispose of any caught rats safely in a sealed bag in general waste, wearing gloves throughout. Wash the trap with warm soapy water before rebaiting. Removing scent residue between catches can improve results, as rats are cautious around unfamiliar smells.
