Cockroach Bait Traps

The traps use a food-grade attractant to lure cockroaches onto a sticky surface where they become trapped, helping monitor and reduce infestations.

Place them in warm, dark areas such as behind appliances, under sinks, inside cupboards, and along skirting boards where cockroaches are active.

Our traps are suitable for home use when used as directed. Place traps out of reach and avoid areas where they could be chewed or played with. Dispose of used traps carefully.

Typically up to several months, or until the trap is full or the sticky surface has gone over with dust and grease. Replace them as they fill, so you keep getting a usable read on activity - a full trap tells you nothing about this week.

Sticky traps catch what walks over them; they don't reach the harbourage. Cockroaches shelter in warm voids - behind and under appliances, in motor housings, around pipework and inside cupboard carcasses - and that is where treatment needs to reach. Use the traps to find which rooms and which corners are active, then treat those harbourages with a spray or powder, and keep the traps running to check whether numbers are actually falling.

Take away food, water and shelter. Wipe surfaces down nightly, keep food sealed, fix dripping taps and dry sinks before bed, empty bins, and seal gaps around pipework and behind units. Cockroaches in a domestic property often arrive with packaging, second-hand appliances or from a neighbouring flat, so check deliveries and shared walls if the problem returns.

If activity continues after a full treatment cycle, if it has spread beyond one room, or if you are in a flat or shared building where the source may be next door. German cockroach infestations are hard to clear as a DIY job. Look for a qualified pest controller with BPCA membership.
