FAQs: Clothes Moth Traps

Clothes moth traps use pheromones to attract adult male moths. Once they enter the trap, they become stuck on the adhesive surface, interrupting the breeding cycle and reducing the moth population over time.

You’ll start noticing results within a few days as moths are captured. For larger infestations, it may take a few weeks to see a significant reduction in activity.

Most clothes moth traps remain effective for 2-3 months. Replace them sooner if the adhesive becomes full or if the trap no longer attracts moths.

Many clothes moth traps including some of ours are non-toxic and chemical-free, making them generally safe for use around pets and children. However, for safety, place traps out of reach in areas like closets or drawers. Always follow instructions carefully.

To prevent damage, store clothing in airtight containers, regularly clean and vacuum storage areas, and use clothes moth traps to monitor and reduce moth activity. Consider washing or freezing items that may already be infested. To freeze, place in a plastic bag and leave in the freezer at -18°C for at least two weeks to kill any larvae living on those garments.

Place traps in closets, wardrobes, drawers, or storage areas where clothes are kept using hangers. Position them near fabrics or areas where moth activity is observed for the best results.
