Insect Control Products

We offer a wide variety of insect control products, including sprays, traps, powders, electronic repellents, and insect deterrents. These products are designed to target a wide range of insects such as ants, flies, wasps, cockroaches, and more.

Many of our products are suitable for homes with pets and children when used correctly - particularly traps and pesticide-free options. If you are using any spray, dust or insecticide, always follow the label directions: keep children and pets away during application, avoid treating toys, bedding or food-prep surfaces unless the label allows it, and only allow re-entry once treated areas are dry and ventilated. Where possible, start with a pesticide-free option and step up to stronger treatments only if needed.

It depends on the product type. Knockdown sprays act on insects they are applied to directly. Residual products work on insects that cross treated surfaces afterwards, so results build over days. Baits are slowest by design - the point is that foragers carry the bait back before it acts. Check the label for what the specific product is intended to do.

Traps, monitors, physical proofing and pesticide-free options all work without an insecticidal active substance. Proofing such as mesh, vent covers and gap sealant is a purely physical barrier, and monitoring traps tell you where activity actually is before you treat anything. Start there, and step up only if the problem needs it.

Usually one of three things. The treatment reached the insects you could see but not the harbourage they come from - treat the cracks, voids and edges they travel through, not just the open floor. Or the product was the wrong type for the job: a knockdown spray does very little where there are no insects present at the time. Or the life cycle is still running, and eggs have hatched since you treated, which is why several products are designed for repeat application. Read the label for the reapplication interval before assuming it has failed.

Leave one or two monitoring traps set after you stop treating and check them weekly. Two to three weeks with no fresh catches and no new sightings is a reasonable all-clear. Activity reappearing at the same point next year usually means the way in was never closed rather than that the treatment failed.

Seal cracks and entry points, keep food in airtight containers, clear standing water and food debris, and empty bins regularly. Proofing at doors, windows and vents does more to keep insects out long-term than repeat spraying does.

If activity continues after a full treatment cycle in line with the label, if it has spread beyond one room, if you are dealing with bed bugs or German cockroaches, which are both hard to clear as a DIY job, or if there are vulnerable occupants in the property.
