Fast-Knockdown Insecticide Sprays

Fast knock-down sprays are designed to kill exposed insects quickly, giving rapid relief when you can see the pests or have located an active hotspot (e.g. a trail or cluster). They’re ideal for immediate control, but they’re not always the best “set-and-forget” option on their own.

It depends on your goal:

• For fast knock-down: spray directly onto visible insects or exactly where you’re seeing activity right now.
• To reduce repeat activity: treat likely routes and harbourages such as skirting edges, cracks/crevices, behind appliances, and around entry points (only where the label permits).

Some do, some don’t. Fast knock-down refers to quick control of exposed insects, while residual control means a dried-on treatment can keep working on surfaces insects cross later. Check the product description/label—some options are fast + residual, while others are mainly for quick, on-contact control.
